Abstract
Every year for Christmas, I design new jewelry for my mom. This year, I chose the Alexander horned sphere. Inspired by the render by

I wanted to create a circular version of the horned sphere where the thickness smoothly graduated between levels. I chose the ratio 1:0.57 between levels, that maximized the size of the levels while keeping neighboring branches from crashing into each other. This was printed in sterling silver by Shapeways. Because the thinnest they can print silver is 0.8 mm, the smallest level is replaced by an ellipsoid. The necklace has four levels with the fifth the ellipsoid. The earrings are level 1 of the necklace down.
